Bowen Kerins played in Pin Maine-ia 1 and 2 in 2007 and 2008. He finished second out of 29 players in 2007 and third in 2008 when Josh Sharpe was the champion. 10 years later, Bowen returned to Maine to face a full field of 64 players and won his first Pin Maine-ia under his new title “Suppressed Player.”
Bowen lost to Alberto Santana on Kings of Steel but put up 214K on Playboy and 26M on X-Men to advance to the final round against 2015 winner Joe Lemire.
Bowen and Joe started the final round on Eight Ball Deluxe, with Bowen scoring 312,430 to Joe’s 126,240. Moving to Flash, as Bowen made up his own lyrics to Flash Gordon while playing, he surpassed Joe’s very respectable score of 511,000 to become the Pin Maine-ia 12 champion.
If we had rafters to hang banners from, we’d be hoisting one with Bowen’s name on it to the ceiling of John Reuters man cave to take it’s place among the 11 other banners we haven’t made.
Congratulations Bowen!
